if i wrote you a symphony...
our struggles are becoming less by the day and i am grateful for that. our smiles are abundant and our love is endless. we are creating a home together. my heart feels like it is going to burst at the seams; there is so much hope and happiness stuffed in there.
acrobats fall
gold leaves fly off skinny branches
cold gusts under their bellies
twirl like acrobats
doing somersaults in midair
fall to the ground
like a parachute forgot to open

laie days
my days in hawaii are long lasting. every inch of my skin is painted and plastered in sunlight. the air is thick and it hangs low and clings to me like spiderwebs as i walk. the roosters are screaming trumpets in the morning. there is nothing to alarm about. seems quite unnecessary to rouse my senses this early in the day. i do miss the quiet and still. light breathing and silent airspace between my head and anywhere else. this house is a cacophony of clashing and banging and lumbering footsteps and hollering tongues.
